MICROSOFT: ‘EVER PRESENT’ AI ASSISTANTS ARE COMING

Microsoft is set to launch AI assistants with advanced long-term memory capabilities in about a year, according to Mustafa Suleyman, head of AI at Microsoft. These AI systems will remember conversations and personal history, allowing them to offer more tailored assistance.

While the prospect of personalized AI is promising, it has sparked concerns over data privacy, security, and potential biases. Critics fear that deeply embedded AI could misuse personal data or provide misleading advice.

Despite these concerns, Microsoft is pushing forward, unveiling new features for its AI assistant, CoPilot. These include voice capabilities, daily news digests, and a “Think Deeper” feature designed for handling more complex queries. Microsoft is also introducing CoPilot Vision, which can assist users with online activity through their Edge web browser, though the company has implemented measures to ensure privacy.

Microsoft’s previous AI tool, Recall, was paused after privacy backlash, highlighting the balancing act between AI innovation and user trust. The challenge remains to develop AI that is both useful and secure, as Microsoft navigates the evolving landscape of AI technology and public expectations.

BRAND CHARACTER AND STORYTELLING

Prompt:

Develop a distinct brand character system with dynamic persona backstories, visual identities and creative usage guidelines that can consistently convey our <product/service> brand across content and experiential touch points.

First, generate 3-5 unique character personas that appeal to <target audience/customers> and embody our brand archetype, personality traits and values.

For each character, include detailed backstories, visual designs, audible voices/accents, signature catchphrases and more. Map out key personality attributes like behaviours, interests, relationships and purpose/missions.

Then produce comprehensive character usage guidelines outlining rules of engagement, graphical language systems, creative storytelling/narrative frameworks and more. Ideate how these characters can manifest across content, campaigns, voice assistants, metaverse experiences and more.
