APPLE INTELLIGENCE IS NOW LIVE IN PUBLIC BETA. HERE’S WHAT IT OFFERS AND HOW TO ENABLE IT

Apple has officially launched the public beta of its new generative AI platform, Apple Intelligence, as part of the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 updates. This rollout allows users in the U.S. to experience features that enhance productivity and user interaction with devices, although access remains restricted in the EU and China due to regulatory issues.

Key highlights of Apple Intelligence include advanced writing tools that offer proofreading, summarising, and text rewriting in various styles. Additionally, the Mail app introduces Smart Reply options and message prioritisation for a more streamlined communication experience. Siri has received a significant update, featuring a redesigned interface and improved capabilities for understanding speech and responding to typed queries.

In the Photos app, a new Clean Up tool allows users to remove unwanted objects from images seamlessly. The search functionality has also been enhanced to support natural language queries, making it easier for users to find specific content.

To access these features, users must enrol in the public beta program through Apple's website. More updates and features for Apple Intelligence are expected to be released later this year.
